So I don't really even drink, but everyone in the soapmaking Facebook group I'm part of kept raving about rum scented soap. I knew I had to try it, despite cautions that it would accelerate trace (thickening) of the soap and might be hard to use.  My plan was to do a brown woodgrain pattern, similar to what I do with the grey, barn board pattern, but because I was worried it was going to accelerate, I rushed things and poured it too soon.  Soap is a science experiment that often results in happy accidents and this was no exception....
